The belief of doer-ship and attachment to outcome blinds conscious awareness to the reality that changes happening or not happening in our life will do so according to destiny, not your individual doing; it’s God’s or Universal will. However, the feeling of personal decisions will always be made within an exercise of seemingly free will. Even when consciousness has been freed from the clear identification of the body/mind and everything is seen as play and display of natural law, the person’s functioning will in appearance seems to have free will. It simply functions to the mental and physical programing and conditioning inherent from birth. The reality is that the human being is a complex biological robot. Its psychophysiological nature is such that it is an expression of our Consciousness Self at a point value of the body/mind. The larger drama of evolution on this planet and in the cosmos is playing out its role in life. The body/mind is integrally and intimately connected to the other, the environment, and all worldly events. It is, in essence, the Cosmic Body/Mind.
We have an innate emotional disposition that gives a more subtle dimension to our mind/body structure. In common, we downplay the suggestion that we are just biological robots. Feelings, especially love that runs deep in our humanity, are directly attached to the individual and give an air that we are aligned inexplicably to each other and a higher source. Something that makes us real human beings. This is true, but the unknown fault is that this love we feel is restricted and called upon ownership by the person. It is more so the unquestioned assumption that I am an independent entity dictated by my free will. Where the reality is the self and the love we call ours is an unbounded ocean of consciousness and accessible to all, it is the substrate of life, a gift from the divine. The consciousness is entwined with the psychophysiological entity with the expressed quality that the self, the I am, is limited to body/mind. It is challenging to suggest otherwise when I am indeed representing this body/mind in the belief of doer-ship.
