Awakening

More than just a concept, the universal field of consciousness is a lived reality for all sentient beings. Humans are remarkably self-aware of this field of consciousness, some more than others. Like the many flowers in a vast garden, some bloom brighter than others.

This vast, infinite field of consciousness is expressed through the point value of the body/mind and the organism apparatus, expressing through, permeating, and penetrating all layers and aspects of the human psycho-physiological structure, including the surface values, and, for that matter, all of creation.

The infinite field of consciousness becomes hidden or restricted from its full value of awareness to humans due to the incessant conditioning of the psychological self from birth into the three-dimensional world of physical form. The mind and its faculties of intellect, the discriminating value, the limited interpretation of emotions, and its feelings and sensations all come into play to cover up the actual reality of the true self, the unbounded field of consciousness.

Being Cosmically Conscious, or fully aware of the infinite field of consciousness, is symptomatic of ‘being awake to the present moment of now.’ The now is right here as we experience it—complete acceptance of this present experience, no judgment, no looking backward or hoping forward, the ‘just as it is’. This is not an intellectual understanding that wavers; it is a lived reality 24/7.

However, at any stage of conscious development, the egoic mind will always try to intervene due to its long-conditioned automatic response. This behavioral conditioning requires a structured reconditioning during the journey that the personal self may experience on the pathless path to being fully awake.

Cosmic consciousness does not act on the thoughts and impulses of past recurring modes of speech and behavior that satisfy the egoic mind in any given experience.

The egoic mind cannot comprehend the complexities of the karma that has ushered in any situation or circumstance. It’s not hard to do; just let it be. Sure, morally, there is right and wrong. As an intelligent species, we can act accordingly, but to judge and demean any experience is irresponsible and only strengthens the egoic mind.

During man’s evolution, the psychophysiology’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd energy centers energized the basal egoic mind. These Chakras were used during the era of fight or flight, our reptilian brain keeping us safe from the hunter-gatherer to the Bronze Age, pre-industrialization. However, as we have grown into a modern high-tech society, the long-standing egoic conditioning of self has not evolved enough to keep pace with humanity’s present needs.

Our fourth Chakra, the heart chakra, requires full activation to live in harmony as cosmically conscious beings. Many modalities are available that tout the opening and activation of the heart chakra. Still, a straightforward avenue is reconditioning our thoughts and behavior to diminish the egoic mind’s constant interruption of how we perceive and act during daily experiences. From here, cosmically awake, we automatically rise and energize the 5th, 6th, and 7th Chakra energy centers.

It may not seem very easy, but it’s not. Complete acceptance, no demeaning judgments, opening your heart to know any experience is oneself, and allowing the ‘what is’ to be.
