Karma means action. It’s the environmental moment experience we do every day; we can’t get away from it, including our neurophysiological activity, which is a microcosmic expression of the world around us. Experiencing, or action, is our movement towards progress and evolution as human beings, finding the nature of our true Self—the what, why, and how of life. Karma—is of unfathomable complexity in linear time, the vastness of occurring events, and the causation that leads to this present moment, especially a moment of great uncomfortableness or uncertainty where one is seeking answers to rise above the moment while lost in the mystery.
Karmic ties are credit or debt incurred as we journey through many lives. The credit is through incurred action (experiencing) in our life or life’s journey as it relates to the positive spectrum, the light, as it unfolds our true nature. The debt is also our incurred action over many lives but under the veil of a shadow cast over the light from action as it relates to the negative spectrum, hiding or inhibiting our true nature. A balance in polarity must be maintained; it’s an immutable law of nature.
This balance can be observed in nature in numerous ways:
Electromagnetic forces, positive and negative charges, create electromagnetic fields fundamental to the universe’s physical structure.
In Ecosystems, predators and prey maintain a balance, ensuring that no single species dominates.
Human emotions, the interplay between positive and negative emotions, can lead to personal growth and self-awareness.
Within the human mind/body organism, a balance is constantly maintained from a physical and metaphysical perspective. After all, we are, in essence, Cosmic.
The Almighty, the Universal Self, the Source, Godhead, the underlying nature of existence that manifests creation, our knowable and unknowable universe or multiverses, etc.…does not judge, does not distinguish between good and evil, between positive and negative. It is impartial. It supplies the eternal power behind the illusion, the players on the stage of life. Although it may be called an illusion, it is still fundamental; God is manifesting itself in infinite ways, all dimensional creation from the subtlest micro to the physical macro to know itself through action or experience.
We have the physical structure, highly developed nervous system, and neurobiological functioning to appreciate and live from the Source, knowing it as ourselves—the true Self, which is the Self of everything. The complexity of Karma, action, experience, past, present, and future as we know it now, right now, this very second, is unfathomable.
However, we experience shadow and light every day. Light is our true nature, guiding us to higher realms of dimension and expanding consciousness until the realization of pure consciousness, the Source, the Self. Shadow is also light but veiled in darkness because it does not remember or know its source, its essence, which is Love. Love is the power behind the illusion of creation, God manifesting to appreciate itself in infinite ways.
So, at this very moment, we have incurred Karmic credit or debt through our life journey to realize the highest Self, our true nature, Love. From a worldly perspective, Karmic debt and credit are all around us, the seemingly never-ending experience of our daily actions and those of our collective family, society, nations, and humanity—a complex weave of interconnectedness subtle in nature but at times blunt in appearance.
Debts incurred have to be repaid. The ledger has to be balanced. Karmic debts arrive anytime, anyplace, as do credits. The credits are easy; actions that exhibit love, compassion, empathy, and are nonjudgmental feel good and come with expansion and a sense of well-being. The debts come to us as past actions that were veiled in the shadow, the negative polarity where judging, criticism, seeing the other as separate and unwanted, no compassion or empathy, lashing out, only serving yourself at the expense of others, basically a narrow sense of ego self, or colloquially a ‘big ego’ comes back to us in a multitude of ways to be resolved. Unseen for what it expresses, which usually happens, resisting uncomfortable situations or circumstances only strengthens it to return repeatedly until the light is seen.
Karmic ties, credit, and debts are usually subtle but can’t be missed if they’re in your face. Ignoring them or becoming reactionary due to longstanding human ego/mind conditioning through our actions only stalls our evolutionary progress. That’s why loving yourself and others as much as you love life and reconditioning your actionable response to situations and circumstances with grace and humility will diminish the shadow side.
One caveat is that one does not walk in life on eggshells because of this. There will always be times when, unsuspectedly or automatically, your actions or responses may feel or show from the shadow side, and again, we cannot fathom the complexity of Karma. Still, you may be the messenger for another to accept their shadow side and not incur any debt; it’s a credit. But don’t be fooled by thinking that you are only a messenger.
